₦15.6 Million Waste Management Initiative
Under the leadership of President Osasere Osifo, UBAANA successfully mobilized and deployed ₦15.6 million to support Vice Chancellor Professor Edoba Omoregie's vision for a cleaner, healthier University of Benin campus — delivering 50 waste bins that positively impact students daily.
The Heartbeat of UNIBEN Alumni in North America
It began in August 2005 with a ladies-only gathering in the New York Metro area. Twelve visionary women — the Golden 12 — planted the seed that would become UBAANA.
On June 3, 2006, at the Sheraton Hotel in Parsippany, NJ, the first full reunion brought the dream to life. By November 2006, UBAANA was officially founded — and twenty years later, we are over 1,000 alumni strong.
